BEFORE YOUR FIRST VISIT TO OUR SAUNA

Thanks for checking our web page and informing yourself about our place, but before your first visit, take the time to read this.

New to gay saunas:

If you have never been to a gay sauna, but are curious, you should definitely check it out. Before you come though, we would reccomend you leave your fantasies and expectations at home, and visit with an open mind. A gay sauna is first and foremost a physical place for guys to meet, but as any kind of social venue (bars, discos, clubs), it attracts different crowds, is more busy and less busy at different times and on different days. To make the most of your first visit, we suggest calling or writing the sauna you plan to visit and ask them questions, like when is it busy, when are younger, or older guys, or bears, or muscle guys visiting. The receptionist can give you info about when to come or not come based on your likes and dislikes.

Once inside, don’t rush, take your time. See if you like the place, then see if you like the guests, the staff. A sauna is a package made of all those things and every sauna is different. It’s deffinitely not like a Mc Donald where you will find a similar decor and the same menu everywhere. One sauna might be popular with young in shape guys, another sauna might be popular with an older crowd. And some saunas, like ours, is pretty mixed most of the time (but still, some times are more popular with certain crowds – ask us).

And if on your first visit you feel overwhelmed, just relax, take your time. You don’t need to do anything. You can come back another time, try another sauna if there are several where you are. We think that saunas are a great way to meet guys, you just need to know how to make th ebest use of it.

New to Magnum sauna:

Magnum Sauna is a mid sized sauna with an eclectic decor and a mixed crowd. If you are looking for an ultra modern fancy place, that is not us. If you are looking for a super sleazy rundown place, that is not us either. We have been oppened since 2001 and our spaces are comfortable and well lived in, unpretentious, friendly and practical.

Our crowd is definetely mixed. If you like a specific age or type, ask us when it’s best to come. If you are looking for a place with only guys under 30, or only guys over 60, or just gym guys, you won’t like Magnum. If you’re cool with a place that has a whole bunch of guys in different ages, of different shapes, from different places, then you’ll probably have a great time in our sauna.

We are a no nonsense kind of place. Our guests know why they are here, and they don’t waste hours running around looking for Mr. Perfect.

But as we said, if you have specific likes or dislikes, ask us: we will be happy to tell you when is th ebest time for your to come.

Before you give us a rating on social media:

The reason for this article is very simple. While we usually get 4 or 5 stars rating on facebook and google, we sometimes get one or two star ratings with no comments, or comments such as ’ full of old, fat people, not busy, etc...’. In a perfect world, we would all find the perfect person everytime we visit a sauna, but that is not the way it works. Giving us a bad rating because you happened to come at a time when it was not busy, or did not meet the kind of man your were looking for is not fair. This is beyond our control. This is why we ask you to inform yourself before you come in. It’s better for you and better for us.
